ROBOPOWER, McConnel’s innovative unmanned remote control tractor, has just made its UK demo debut with an impressive display at the AFP 2014 Show at Ragleigh Hall, Warwickshire.
Armed with a Magnum Mulcha 225 forestry head, the machine cleared fallen branches, saplings and dense overgrowth, showcasing the power of its 140hp IDeutz diesel engine and the 300mm cutting capacity of its HD flailhead armed with 360-degree rotating hammer flails.
Other machines and attachments on display at the show included:
• Two ROBOCUTs
• The ROBOCUT woodchipper attachment
• The new ROBOFOREST attachment, which features 50 fixed-tooth tungsten carbide teeth and a full width pushbar to guide material into the flailhead.
• The ROBOMULCH attachment, which also features a push bar, cuts with 22 free-swinging flails
• And Twincut, the world’s first dual-rotor Power Arm flailhead
AFP 2014 is the UK’s largest forestry and arboriculture event, attracting around 20,000 people and 270 exhibitors.
